These leggings are SUPER soft- they are that brushed "buttery soft" material (similar, if not the same as LuLaRoe brand leggings). I really like the fabric! The trouble is, they do not look in photos to look like they have an elastic waistband. They look like the wide waistband, which do not squeeze the stomach at all and provide more of a smooth fit. I do not like it when my leggings create a muffin top feeling. I am 5'5 and about 125 lbs, and ordered Medium to be safe. With the elastic, it's way more of an appropriate fit for a size Small or XS. I'm a rather slender person and couldn't believe these pinched the way they did at a size medium.Either way, I ultimately do like them so I cut the elastic off the top. I wish I didn't have to do that, but now they are totally wearable. I wouldn't recommend using them for heavy duty exercise, as they are not moisture wicking in any way. They'll work great for my purposes (athleisure, work from home style, light exercise like yoga). All in all, not the worst purchase I've made on ebay.
