It definitely isn't cotton like a t-shirt gown. It is sleek, smooth, and see through, keeps you cool for the summer months. I am definitely going to enjoy it next summer. I wish I read that earlier because I am stacking up on cotton for the winter weather, but it is a good product. I have to wash it, and use it to see if I am completely satisfied with it, but so far A+ for the money of $16.99Now under closer inspection 10 minutes later, and different lighting I see real poor craftmanship. Product has a hole which was sewed partially so as to not run, and Many sites have been resewed in a light color. Not happy at all.
