My three-year-old loved these. The bottoms have great grip and traction. They looked comfortable and she never complained of them. They velcro in front and hold snug on her feet. They are very lightweight and they are flexible. Water drains through the mesh well and the shoes appear durable and long-lasting. These are not just water shoes, they can be worn on walks or playground play too. I recommend them!
