I decided to replace my old mixer with the new SMEG one that they introduced. When deciding which mixer to employ, I relied on VTB benefits. I just baked some biscuits, so I guess that's OK and convenient. As with other SMEG appliances, the design, nozzle quality, and built-in timer are all strong points. Negatives: I expected a higher top speed, there aren't any cord winders included, there's no bowl (and the bait bag doesn't make up for that, of course), and the contemporary technology should produce less mechanical noise.
