The jacket looks great, but it doesn't remain waterproof if you are out in the rain for an extended period of time. I was thinking of using this on a hike, but now I'm not so sure. I worked outside in the rain with it for about an hour and found that I was soaked through when I came inside. I think it will be fine if you're just making short trips in the ran from say your car to a building, but don't expect to stay dry for long. I did also get a size larger than what was normal, as other recommended, and I found that git well for me.
