Don't ask me why a man has a 38mm instead of a 42mm apple watch, but it worked out that way and I needed a band that fits. It was tough to find, but this one works well. It also looks like a bigger watch on my wrist so I don't feel like I'm wearing a woman's watch. The band works well as a protector. It is a little tough to find the perfect fit, my wrist is probably between the 4th and 5th notch so it is either a little tight or a little loose, but I don't mind it.
