I give 4 stars because these are really nice, warm, comfortable socks, but the material is maybe not the best. Other pros: they're pretty long, so they cover your entire ankle, and the traction on the bottoms is flat, so you don't feel it much when walking on a hard floor. Cons: they do shed a fair amount of fuzz, at least for the first couple of washings. Two socks in the pack had small holes in the toe area when I got them. That was easily repaired with a needle and some black thread. Will be interesting to see how long they last, and if they continue to shed little bits of fluff. But overall I'm happy with my purchase.
