My XPS17 9700-2819 model came with the following specifications: UHD 3840x2400, i7 10875H, 32GB RAM, 1024GB SSD, and RTX 2060. I was concerned that the charge issue detailed in this article would exist before I purchased: I was fortunate that mycompy did not experience the indicated failure, though. The laptop consumes the required 130W of electricity when it is fully loaded (see photo). The box specifies a delivery date of September 1, 2022. Therefore, check the date before unpacking and avoid taking copies from the early shipments (July and maybe August) if you absolutely do not want to encounter this issue and have to replace the motherboard. I have been using an Acer Ethos 8951G laptop since 2022. Its main selling point was a big 18.4 "Full HD screen. Naturally, it has been morally out of date for a while, but I haven't come across any alternatives. All computers with large screens (17.3") had futuristic designs, matte displays, and enormous frames, none of which suited my tastes. I couldn't take it anymore, so in 2022 I bought a Dell XPS15 7590 (4K iPS, CPU i9, RAM 32GB), which was perfect for me other from the fact that the 15" screen was much smaller than my previous 18.4". I made the decision to buy this model with a backlog for the future after knowing that Dell would end the XPS/Precision series in 2022 with the release of the XPS 17. I consider the laptop to be the best available on the market based on the results of the first month of use.
