This is the perfect robe for warm weather climes like Florida. It is well made with 3/4 sleeves that aren't too long for short people, the perfect fabric weight and an internal tie that keeps the robe closed when bending or reaching. The soft cottony fabric is very comfortable. The eggplant is a nice rich purple color. I can't address shrinkage as I haven't washed it yet, but it more than met my expectations for the perfect robe. I'm 5' 2" and 230 lbs and the 3X gave me plenty of room, full coverage, and a length just below the knee. Robe has two deep pockets perfect for carrying a cell phone.
