I was extremely excited to purchase this topper. I prefer a soft as air mattress and foam is usually too hot, so I opted for the down option this product has. I'm no stranger to down products and they usually require fluffing and a good shake the first time you unbox one and every few months to keep it feeling evenly dispersed. While this was very well made in my opinion for the price and the straps are a nice touch, the down is extremely lumpy and the feathers are large and long, not small and light. This leaves you sleeping on 50% feather and 50% quill. It flattens as expected when you lay on it but it actually is so lumpy and stiff in areas that I woke up sore. It would make a decent comforter or blanket but definitely not something to sleep on each night.
