This has a lot of stretch to it but I would say they are on the smaller side. I got a large which is the size I typically wear and while I can get these on and buttoned they are tight. If I sized up one I think they would fit better but they are on the shorter side so beware if you prefer longer shorts as these barely cover my thighs. I wouldn't necessarily recommend these if you are curvy really. I am 5'5" and 170 pounds, I wear a 12 in pants mostly but I do have a mom pooch and a little thicker thighs and in my thirties now and the length makes me feel like these are too young for me.The material is very comfortable though and they wash well without shrinking. I love that they have some stretch for bloated days. They are cute and are great for the booty
