The instructions could have been a bit more detailed and simpler. It is really a 2 person job. You have to pay close attention to the steps and look at the pictures. The grooves have to line up so the back flat pieces can slide in. It would have been nice if they would have marked the long piece in the back to show exactly where the center is, though using a tape measure does the trick also. You may need to sand down one of the grooves a bit because one of the pieces is really tight fit (in the first step). After you get past the first few steps, the remaining step are pretty straight forward. It is worth the money and effort though. Once you have it put together, it is good looking, sturdy and a nice addition to the kitchen.
