I washed the jacket as soon as I unpacked it. Washed and dried well using washer and dryer. The only issue I had after wash/drying was the elastic in the wrist and waist bands. The elastic turned and got twisted. Took a little time to straighten them out.Jacket is very warm. I wore while shoveling snow and was very warm. The pockets are big and seem to be deep enough. I would trust putting my phone in them. It felt like it was going to fall out.
