For my spoked motorcycle rims I bend the weight I to a V/U -ish shape and stick them on the 'hump' in the center of the rim. They stayed put during three weeks of dual sport riding including plenty of very rocky bumpy roads and high speed cruising. One of them did pop off but only because the tire hit a rock so hard it bent the rim. I certainly do not blame the weight for falling off in that circumstance. I'll keep using them.
