I used this base as a new base for a salt lamp that had broken. As you can see in the photo, the battery rotted and produced a disgusting salt like substance all over the base. It also leaked all over my counter. I’ve barely had this for 8 months and it wasn’t cheap, I purchased it for $20 and now I see the price is dramatically reduced. Probably because this is actual garbage. Not worth the buy and it could have started a fire.
