I am an active 70 year old who went with children and grandchildren to the Caribbean, spent 10 hours a day in the water, and did not get burned. People complimented me on this top. My shoulder length hair did not get tangled in my snorkel mask. This top can be worn over a full bathing suit or just bottoms. I actually wore it as a jacket over a T shirt and black pants on the plane to save luggage space. I wish it had thumb holes, but I added them myself to protect the back of my hands.
