the title says it all. I should have known this by looking at the product image with heat arrows coming off the top of the feet. this is exactly what these do, almost burning by feet (top side) and nothing on the calves where I most want it. the battery life is around 1-1/2 to maybe 2 Hrs at most. so you really need more than one set of batteries and have to switch them continuously if you want them to work and warm up your feet. Not exactly what I had in mind.
