This is not quite what I was expecting with this, but I was pleasantly surprised.This comes with a lightweight piece of wood that has the holes predrilled for attaching your hooks to.

This is nice, because while it takes some additional time to connect up and prep for installation, it prevents damage to the mounting holes in transit.I was not expecting distressed paint or chalk paint to be used, but it actually adds to the look in our home so I am happy with the result.Because I knew this would be used for mounting backpacks and some other things on that are heavier, I skipped the included drywall anchors and used some 3/8" toggle bolts which are rated for 380lbs each in 1/2" drywall.It mounts with three hanging bolts which admittedly are hard to get lined up for depth across a long wall and have it feel 'snug'.I also added two felt feet behind the wood to keep it from knocking against the wall when people come and go because there's no way to 'tighten' it's hold to the wall without really dialing in the bolt depth behind it. Between the toggle bolts and the additions I made I'm very happy with the results.
