This has been a nice addition to my system. It is a plug-and-play item. The picture is clear nicely displayed on the screen even with this inline. I have noted no degradation in my picture quality, either. The remote us easily cloned with a universal remote, so I can set up macros with my system to automatically switch the inputs. The included remote works fine, also.I would definitely buy this again. rrh
