I used this for edge routing with a template. It met all my criterion. the backing came off relatively easily, it had a good grip but not too much, the tape came off in one piece without leaving residue. It is a little thicker than what I've used in the past but caused no problems. I think a slight amount of give lets the tape grip the pieces better, not just contacting on the high spots. The embedded cloth makes it strong so it doesn't tear when you remove it. The picture shows some fibers that pulled off the template. It was a cheap luan ply and I expected it. Once I had this in the shop, I'm found lots of other uses for it. It worked for me and I'll continue to use it.
