As others have noted, the handle is not loud and barely vibrates. The only time I came close to making a return was when the pen initially did not work. I try this and that, but it just doesn't work. The handle does not turn on, but the display does. It turned out that I had really pushed the plug from the handle into the device itself. If anyone is experiencing this issue, simply loosen the plug a little. Since they weren't very excellent in the kit, I quickly ordered some nice cutters.
