This review is for the larger, 2 1/2" capacity cutter. No matter how hard I tried, could net get this to cut straight. The far end of the blade seems to deflect, making a cut that ends up being far from perpendicular. THe part of the blade that is closer to the handle is thicker and cuts fairly straight, however, to complete the cut, since the far end has cut at an angle and the near end has cut straight, it needs to snap off to finish, leaving a rough and jagged end. I ended up needing to sand it down to give me something closer to a straight cut. Definitely not the nice, square end you're supposed to use for connecting pipe.
