This is a very poor design in that the peeler only works one way -- you can only "push" with it; you cannot "pull." So if you are trying, for example, to peel a not-large potato, you'd probably be holding the potato in your left hand and trying to peel it with your right hand -- meaning that you will push the peeler into your left hand with nearly every stroke. It's sharp -- plenty sharp enough to cut the heck our of your hand!A proper design would be to have the blade sharpened on both sides, so that you could pull it toward you when peeling a smaller item. Don't buy this -- buy an Oxo peeler instead.
