I wanted something to wear around the house instead of having to wrap myself up with blankets all the time. I got a large even though I'm a small lady (5'2") because I wanted it to reach the floor when i stand. It fits great. The only downside is that it's a dog hair magnet! My daughter has two little dogs, one of which sheds tremendously, and this robe seems to summon every hair of Romulus that exists in this house to cling to it. So I have to be careful of where I let my robe drag and get the girl to sweep and vacuum more often but if you're cool with animal hair or don't live with fur babies then no worries.
