I got the large sized maroon colored bag. The only difference between the two is the height of the bag (and one added inch to the width) so I recommend just going with the bigger one if you are caught between the two. Especially if you are looking for a bag designed to carry your life around in it like me. It is actually a very comfortable and portable size so don't worry as it is not huge. I would personally consider it a medium sized bag.This bag looks just like the picture. It's the perfect size to fit an 11" iPad and anything else you can think of. Somehow it's like a magical bag as everything I put in doesn't even bulk it up. The shoulder strap fits comfortably under the armpit with the bag resting snugly against your side allowing you to get in a car without even taking it off if you don't want to. The over the shoulder strap is decent and adjustable. There is a slight smell to it (a fishy smell?) that eventually goes away. Just like any new bag you need to let it air out. The zippers are strong and there is a lot of storage pockets. Not to mention it looks cute on. If you want it to have the classic hobo style look just make sure not to overstuff it.I feel like shopping for bags online is very hard but this one is a winner for me.The outside feels like a thick leather like material and the inside feels like raincoat material. There is an inner pocket divider which works perfectly for feminine hygiene products and small makeup/nail/etc products. I prefer to keep these small items in there as it makes it easier to find/dig through while I keep the larger items in the flat pockets.I got this bag for the main purpose of carrying my iPad to work without causing any stress bending and it does a good job keeping it flat.The bag does stand by itself assuming one side is not heavier than the other. But if you have items in there it does stand quite well. I do not think it was an intentional feature but it's great!Finally it came with a thank you note and a little ornament called a "lucky knot". It's super cute and I hung it from my bag right away.Overall this is a good buy especially for the price. It feels well made and I believe it will last for a long time.
