The item came with no instructions which is a huge NO NO when you are dealing with this item. I have worn girdles before. However, not one of this nature so I was clueless that having another person to assist me was key. Once I figured that out I was able o lay on my back and have the other person assist me in closing the clamps (Like the ones on a bra) to the proper closure. Laying on your back is a key factor in establishing the correct fit. When an item is very sheer and fitted the girdle will be seen through your clothing as the fabric lays ever so lightly however, it still shows. I love the girdle and will wear it again and again as it really gave me the fit I was looking for to smooth out my posture and gave the gown a very elegant look.
