While this product does perform well, it is a bit clunky when it comes to firmware updates. Rather than an internal check process where you can either click a button to check or automatically be polled and informed if an update is ready, you are required to manually and independently check the website for current firmware is available. And that part is not really covered well -- you actually have to initiate a download of the firmware to see what version it is and then decide if you need to actually download it. Then after downloading, you use an option internal to the unit to select the file to download and install. A very 1990's process if you ask me. It works but is not that modern or user friendly. Aside from this the product does seem to have the usual options at a decent price.
