Purchased 1/2-14 NPT Male thread with 3/8 Barb. Thread did not fit when I went to out the fitting ina female 1/2 NPT port. The threads also failed a go/no-go check gauge. I would give 1 star since the product is non-functional, but I'm giving two stars since they are recoverable. Technically the thread is 1/2-14, but it does not fit the NPT standard. These are a lot cheaper than buying from McMaster, but you will need to buy a die with these and re-run the threads yourself. In the attached image, on the left is the threads I fixed, and on the right are the original. It looks like the unfixed ports do not have deep enough threads, are too thick, and there is not enough of a taper. However the factory is currently cutting threads just isn't good enough.
