Not accurate at all, I do not recommend.I’m in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy, and I bought this after my 3-hr glucose test, when 2 of my 4 results came back elevated and I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and since this was ebay’s #1 choice, I ignored the negative reviews - whoops! (And I wasn’t paying $120 for the prescription glucometer since I only need this for 9 weeks.)After logging the results from this glucometer for a few days with my doctor, I got a call that they didn’t like my fasting levels, which was odd because my fasting levels were always fine, and they wanted to go over insulin education! Scary! But since my fasting levels were always okay prior to now, the first thing we did was see how this glucometer compared to their hospital-grade glucometer, and voila, that was the issue! They got a reading of 79mg and I got a reading of 104 - big difference!I asked them what brand they recommend (One Touch) and I stopped at Walmart on my way home and bought one. I compared this glucometer to my new One Touch after lunch, and this gave me a reading of 148mg vs. 125mg from the One Touch, again, big difference.If you are looking for an accurate glucometer, this one is NOT it.(For reference, I got the One Touch Verio Reflect and it’s easier to use, but the Metene has the better lancing device and comes with more lancets so I'm still using those. The One Touch doesn’t come with any test strips, they’re sold separately).
