I spent quite a bit of time learning about different recovery options before settling on this snatch strap from All-Top. At this point, I have not used it for actual recovery, but I did connect it to a smaller vehicle with its brakes on to see about stretch - it seems to work as advertised! While I did not measure the actual displacement, I was able to slowly tension the strap before having the other driver release his brakes. The extension was smooth as well as the release, so I feel like everything is working as expected.I'm glad this kit comes with a receiver and two shackles as it kept me from agonizing over more parts. The shackles are solid and nicely finished, with smooth operation. Upgrading to locking pins might be worth looking into if you plan to leave them attached to your hooks, but for my use these are perfect.I will be adding a static rope to my kit, soon, so I have more options, but for now I'm confident this strap will cover my typical needs for snow and mud.
