This was bought for all season use and it will be useful, indoors and outdoors. In current cool seasons, I wear it under a wool cape or an oversized Land's End stadium coat when out walking my dog. I was surprised (and pleased) that despite "lightweight" description, it is not at all flimsy (or truly light by weight in 2XL size). Can't guess how weighty a smaller size would feel. I was just pleased about quality product. The sizing is generous without being too humongous. I was worried about future shrinkage in the dryer so it's good. Zipper is easy and good! No dye odor YAY. I am pear-shape, yet with some shoulder width and was surprised that it's still perfect, not my common problem with one-piece clothing of bulging top and squeezing bottom. Is easy for walking in also and stays in place; doesn't bunch on my legs. Base touches top of my knees.
