After several years of struggling with other lotion applicators- specifically the roller ball types- they consistently broke 9either the lid, or the balls stopped rolling, or the lotion kept drying out). Anyway, this one is very easy to use, doesn't waste the lotion, and seems very good quality. Though I haven't used it very long, I think it has less potential to break. I see that some users say they wash theirs out after each use, but I dont think that is necessary, as I use mine daily, and just cover it with a plastic bag. Only wash it every couple days, and with the replacements that come with it, I can use one of those while the other is drying.
