First of all, I liked the tire's versatility, no matter how stupid it may sound. Perfectly suited my absurd requirements - the city and the track. And there, and there she is good. Compared to the Hankook R-S3, of which I've worn three sets before, it's faster on the track (on the order of a second to one and a half from a 3k lap) and holds up much better in the city when it's cold.

On the track, its character is more civil compared to the same R-S3: there is no sharp breakdown. At first it seemed to me that the tires simply “soaped” like ordinary civilian tires with this use. But after a few laps, it became clear that this was not the case. Cup 2 allow you to feel the very "emphasis" in the arc. Stalling is smoother than on Henkuk, but as a result, corrections when “catching” the car occur with smaller steering angles.

I think that Cup 2 is perfect for those who do not want to buy a separate set of tires for occasional track days. Only for the city, even for active and aggressive driving, it is better to choose something else, without full warming up, all its charms cannot be appreciated.

Excellent traction on a dry track. In the wet, these tires surprised even more, although they are inferior to some other models. Compared to other tires of about the same class, the Cup 2 was very pleased in the city. In a cold state without warming up, they are practically not inferior to good city tires. Tolerably hold even on wet pavement at temperatures slightly above zero. The sidewall is of medium hardness, which is not very good on the track, but it pleases in the city - the car does not need to be caught when rutting on the road. As it wears out on dry pavement, the traction properties practically do not change, which many other Cup 2 competitors cannot boast of.

These high-tech tires are very pressure demanding. Michelin has even released a special brochure that helps you calculate the optimal pressure from the table. Otherwise, the tires on the track are simply in danger of destruction. Quite noisy, but for a sport-oriented tire, this is normal. They wear out relatively quickly, but their resource is still greater than that of the R-S3, about one and a half times. Price.
