I have a 2 year old chiweenie who is very stubborn and does not like change but very co-dependent. She is small but not tiny, I was debating whether to get her an XS or S, she’s 8 pounds & i just decided on the S. Fits her perfect. She slept with my fiancé & I at night, I always felt like I was going to squish her! I needed to get her something so that she’s feel secure & safe. She’s a lap dog and I needed to teach her to be less co dependent. so i decided on this donut dog bed thinking she can just lay on it instead of hopping on my lap or if she can sleep on it at night but i didn’t mind if she slept with us. It’s not super stiff like other dog beds, it’s kind of flimsy but I don’t mind, i lay it in bed with my fiancé & i when we go to sleep and she just jumps right into it. At first she was very hesitant to get into it but after i laid her blanket she was good to go. Since her scent is on it she loves it, she knows when it’s bed time or if she just wants to chill. At first she didn’t like the shag she kept tugging at it but she learned her lesson when she coughed it up. I love how in the inner part, it’s somewhat shallow so that she can bury herself into it. Very good purchase, highly recommend.
