I bought this for my 10 year old granddaughter to go with her friendship bracelet making kit. She was having severe problems with tangles while using embroidery floss that comes wrapped in the standard 'skeins'. Having the floss wrapped on these cardboard backers, like in this kit, was a life saver for her. She can now easily remove enough floss from the backer and not have to fight tangled up floss.
