I bought this for a Halloween costume and general use after the fact for any occasion I may need to dress up. It's a nice design and I'm glad I bought it, but it is definitely not genuine silk. There's no tags on the item to indicate country of origin or material content, not that you can trust those 100% of the time either. It's still nice and I will end up using it, but it feels like false advertising. Just keep this in mind if fiber content is important to you.I also would have appreciated it if the metal on the cufflinks was a brass or gold tone to match the tie design, but I just won't use them. The cufflinks also feature a part of the fabric weave that has so little gold thread on them that it seems kind of silly that they even bothered to include them.
