I'm so glad they make filament-style LED bulbs. While I am a pretty obsessed with caring for the environment, I am even more obsessed with design, so I used to sacrifice energy efficiency for looks. It makes me so happy to finally satisfy both my love for design and our planet.These are SO BRIGHT. I can't believe they only use 8W. I have 9W LED bulbs from a big, brand-name manufacturer that are not as bright at only "60W equivalent". These are indeed 75W equivalent, and do not get super hot like traditional or even CFL bulbs after long periods of use.It's also a big plus that they are dimmable: A wonderful feature in rooms that sometimes requirement bright lights (e.g., when you're taking pictures with family), and sometimes only dim, mood lighting (e.g., when you're chatting with friends). I will so that they do not dim as well as traditional bulbs--they seem to go from very bright to dim very quickly, rather than gradually brightening.I received this product for a discounted price for an honest and unbiased review. Believe me--I would buy these at full price and still be just as happy with them. They are a great bargain. Even at full price, they are cheaper than the price I paid for the non-LED filament bulbs that I'm going to have to recycle.They are well-packaged and all 4 bulbs that I received worked out the box.
