I have two puppies. They were scared of these at first. My little tiny 2 pound baby caught on quickly and can go up just fine. She is still scared to come down. My bigger, 6 pound puppy is wider than the steps themselves. He hates them. I think because he is too big to turn around. He tried sitting on the steps and there is not enough room. There is no time to linger. He has to go up pretty quick with out stopping on the step because they are too narrow. The steps, particularly the top landing, need to be made wider. Hence the 4 stars. They are very light and I do not feel suitable for anything more than a teeny puppy.
