They really work, but there are steps
My son and I had a good time with this, but I can see why some people would struggle to get a good result. The advertised app is not available on the android app store and you have to follow the instructions precisely. If you look at this like an actual science experiment and take all the required time, you can have the desired outcome. I used a thermometer to make sure the temperature was correct at each step and let the solution settle before adding seeds. Don't rush! Luckily there are a few packets so you can try more than once if it doesn't go well. Good luck! If you want quick and easy, get some borax and pipe cleaners, that's a much simpler way to grow crystals for anyone who isn't patient enough for these.
