I've always had locks (U-locks or ones more like this that required a key) in which I would inevitably, one-at-a-time, lose the keys. This combo is SO MUCH BETTER. If you're worried about forgetting it, just put a note in your phone.It is the perfect size, and its mounting hardware works perfectly. The thickness (the standard high end, requiring serious cutters to remove) is a must. Its length and flexibility make it, for me, a winner over U-locks, mot of which reviews indicate are being easily broken off anyway! (unless you buy the crazy pricey ones)Since I happen to have a white bike (check out Zizzo folding bikes, better than my prior Trek mountain bike, lighter and cheaper!) this white lock is even cooler.
