So, I thought I would get this to use for a night out in the summer. We had a semi-formal work event at a county club so I wore this. It looked appropriate for the event, but it didn't feel light and loose like I had expected. While it is fitted, the way the top part lays over the dress it makes it look too big on me. If the overlay was smaller it would be better. The rest of the dress looks very good. I wear a medium, so I got this in medium for reference. I am debating on cutting off the overlay piece, but I think the pink might be too plain. Anyway, while wearing it the dress gets hot. It wasn't too bad when we were inside, but when we went out to the deck it was too hot. The breeze never seemed to go through the dress. If it is a windy day, or on the cooler side it would be perfect.So, order the size you normally wear, and plan to be a bit on the hotter side. I think I am going to go ahead and cut the overlay piece off and turn it into a scarf or an accent bow or something like that. The dress is much more flattering on me without it.
