Got them based on a good review. I use them for hobie cat sailing and hanging on the beach. The design works great to drain out water. They are very light weight and it is easy to swim with them. They do a good job at keeping sand out but once a lot of sand gets in you best take them off and flush it out. I bought a first pair but the fit was too big. I ordered two sizes smaller and fit is decent. The main/only complaint is that they don’t "hug” my feet the way I expected. The fit on the top of my foot is a bit loose do they occasionally dislodge off my heal. This looseness is the cause of much of the sand ingress but this only really happens when feet get buried in wet sand as in the surf. I will look for an option with the neoprene top next time.
