This recessed power cord is working well. The recessed isn't really recessed but rather mostly recessed? It sits in but also slightly above when installed. A true recessed item is flush with the item it is recessed in. This is not an issue for us but something the buyer should be aware of. Not quite recessed is actually better since if you spill liquid its less likely to go into the outlets. We have not installed this yet. Currently using it as an extension cord but when our behind the couch table is done it will be built in to the table and drinks will be on the same table. Since we don't have little kids spilling isn't as likely as once upon a time but its always possible.
