Let me start by saying I have a 6lb Yorkie. The leash is already starting to give out and I've had it about 2 months. If it can't handle such a small dog I can't imagine trying to walk a big dog with it. The locking mechanism is unpredictable and after 2 months getting stuck in place. We live in a busy area and this could be a huge safety risk.Update: has pretty much come apart
- Cute, retractable leash worked well - until our puppy chewed through the rather thin leash cord.
- The leash may not come with a waste bag dispenser or other useful features
