It works well enough, I don't really see it being a very good one for long-term storage because it doesn't seem to fully dehydrate. It's small it would be good for a small apartment as far as space wise is concerned.I have broken one of the shelves they are made of plastic and my husband accidentally dropped it and it broke. The fan is placed at the bottom of the trays and the trays have relatively large holes at the bottom of that and a hole in the center of each tray for airflow I assume so it makes it a bit difficult to clean that bottom area especially if you're doing onions or something that can easily fall through. I am going to keep it and still use it for dehydrated items that we will be eating relatively quickly however I am going to buy one that is more sturdy and more powerful.
