I received sizing help from previous customers because I had no idea going by the size chart. Normally I'm an Xl, 38C, size 14. So with the advice I decided to get a 2x. the 2x fits my bust sort of snug which is fine because I don't have to worry about pulling my top up every few mins. However, there's a bit more extra material within the body of the dress which justifies a 2x. Our body is not one dimensional and so I don't mind getting a few inches taken in. Trust me I don't wear "skin tight" clothes, however, the flow and the drape of the body will still be nice and flowing with a few inches taken in. I'm also 5'5 so it hits the floor which can be adjusted as well. I don't think a size smaller would have been a good choice because it would have suffocated my boobs. Overall I'm very happy with the dress and the way it hangs, it's just that I can do without the extra material; but I'm use to having my clothes altered.that's life
