Excellently packaged. I didn't expect it to come with a mini utility knife and "smoothing" card but it did. Keep in mind cleanliness in prep is 90% of the work - use windex and a razor and scrape your windows clean, then wash them again and dry with newspaper or other lint free rag. See you tube for detailed installation videos - there are plenty (this applies just like car tint). I have old plate glass windows that I was always concerned about having either a baseball, basketball, or tree branch coming through and shattering/spreading glass shards everywhere. While I won't test to see if the film works on my house windows, I may try a small piece of scrap film on a piece of scrap glass - will update if/when I do. According to a local (well respected) tint company, it would have cost me around $500 to have 4 mil film installed. Instead I spent under $100 and did it myself - good enough for what I was looking for. Also, just FYI, according to this same tint company, 4 mil brings my plate glass into "code". There are thicker mils out there (8, 11, etc) with more protection, but I'm not sure if their added stiffness would be good or bad with regards to installation ease. Final note, my windows are wood framed, so the weak link now becomes the area of the glass right at the edge of the film where the glass goes into the wood frame. For true security purposes, tint companies will use a "caulk" of sorts to strengthen the edge of the glass where the film ends and the frame starts, though I'm sure it is much, much stronger than standard bathtub caulk.
