I programmed the front door with a particular chime and the back door with a different chime sound. This works well for me since I have visitors which occasionally use the back door. Based on the sound of the chime I know which door to answer. My batteries lasted13 months. The transmitters are not very heavy. The receiver/chimes are made heavier. The construction is what I would consider adequate but not rugged. The cost is favorable for a door bell that works as advertised. The volume of the receivers, which plug into a household receptacles, was controllable and sufficiently loud enough. If I were to buy again I would consider this unit along with other product selections. Overall, I am satisfied.
