Luckily, my husband is a champ and is great at putting furniture together. He did need me to hold pieces down a couple of times so he could ensure it stayed in place when drilling.I recommend making sure the top or bottom shelf is connected and screwed in—it helps keep the wall pieces in-line and straight during the rest of the installation. We have two now and I’ll likely buy a third.I placed my second one by a window to hold my succulents and it could hold heavier items if I wanted—very sturdy.
