These garden staples would be great for use in a raised bed with top soil or in a tilled garden with soft soil for holding down weed block or other such uses. They are long, which would be nice since they would not pull out so readily as their shorter counterparts. However, if you need them for use in a harder soil, these are not going to fit the bill. They are not heavy enough grade for their length and bend easily If trying to fasten items in a heavier or clay soil. I give them a 4-star because they certainly work in the above situations, but they are not for securing anything in a scenario other than soft soils.
